It's now time to start preparing for the registration for the 2014 Summer Camps at the Museums. The online registration system is accessible to create new user accounts, update existing accounts, and access income tax receipts for the 2013 Summer Camps.

Waitlists

Summer camps at the Museum are very popular and may sell out quickly. If the camp you wish to register your child in is full, please sign up for the waitlist, as it is very possible that more spaces will open up. Last year, 250 campers on the waitlist were able to attend the camp of their choice.

Reminder- Camp registration dates:

  • Monday, February 3, 2014 - 9 p.m. (Members-only):
    Exclusive 24-hour Members-only Summer Camp pre-sale begins. Members must have had a valid membership on December 31, 2013 in order to ensure eligibility to the pre-sale.
  • Monday, February 10, 2014 - 9 p.m.:
    Camp registration opens to the general public.

Junior Astronomers

Become an astronomy whiz kid by building your own telescope, and practising stargazing in the inflatable planetarium. Get ready to experiment with sunlight, create impact craters, construct a scale model of the Solar System, and explore alien life in the Universe.

Adventures in Science

Uncover the mysteries of science with a series of dazzling experiments and activities. Camp counsellors lead young scientists in activities involving chemistry, light-sensitive paper, “bubble-ology,” sound effects, and more!

Gadgets and Gizmos

Explore the world of unusual objects, from your favourite toys to trains, boats and automobiles. Create gadgets that use wind and water power, discover sound and light energy gadgets, make some funny putty, visit the Museum’s lighthouse and build your own lighthouse model to take home.

Adventures in Robotics

Design, build and program Lego Mindstorm robots throughout the week, and test them by putting them through a series of challenges and mazes. Explore the world of robotics, and build your own robot to take home.

Adventures in Gaming - NEW**

Dive into the world of computer gaming as the mastermind behind the controls in this virtual world. Learn the basics of programming while designing, building and testing your own games. Create characters, stories and landscapes and challenge your friends to play.

General Information

Registration is online only.
Starts Monday evening, February 10, at 9 p.m.

Exclusive 24-hour Members-only Summer Camp pre-sale begins Monday, February 3, 2014 at 9:00 p.m.

You must have a valid membership by December 31, 2013 to qualify. If you are not yet a Member, but would like to take advantage of the pre-sale offer, you can join online, onsite at any of the three Museums, or by calling 1-877-210-5598.

Camp Hours

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Before-and-After Care (must be pre-booked)

Before care, 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.: $20 per week per child (*$16 for 4-day camp)
After care, 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.: $20 per week per child (*$16 for 4-day camp)

All camps are presented bilingually.
