Don’t crash your hard drive!
IBM introduced
a hard disk drive in 1956. It allowed for fast random access of data on
a magnetic device that retained its memory when the computer was shut down.
Although dust can cause problems on floppies, it is not generally
an issue with sealed hard drives. But remember, the hard drive’s read/write
heads float just above the disk, so be careful not to jostle your computer!
