Come celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Cape North Lighthouse. Erected in 1908 at Cape North, Nova Scotia, it stood over the Cabot Strait until 1980 when it was acquired by the Museum and moved to this site.
Cape North Lighthouse Tours*
11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Take a guided tour of the lighthouse, and climb up inside to see how lights and reflectors work to make it shine so brightly. Inquire at the information desk in the main lobby.
Explore the wonders of the night sky in the Museum’s inflatable Starlab Planetarium and discover how the stars guided the early explorers. Sign-up at the planetarium.

Orienteering – Find the Treasure

Search for ‘buried treasure’ on the Museum grounds. Use a compass to find where X marks the spot! Family activity; recommended for ages 8 and up. Sign-up at the INFO desk.
