Students will discover that Canada has been a major contributor in the space industry since the development of our first satellite in 1962. Students will discover the reasons why Canada became involved in space exploration and learn of our many achievements including the stem antenna, communications satellites, Canadarm, components for the International Space Station, etc. Students will also learn the physiological effects on the human body of living in space, and will perform experiments to determine what it takes to become a Canadian Astronaut.
