During Your Visit
By participating in hands-on demonstrations, students will learn how 'simple machines' help us to do work. They will use an inclined plane to move a heavy object. They will ride on our science seesaw to explore the concept of balancing levers and ways in which levers make it easier for us to lift heavy objects. They will also experiment with other types of simple machines, such as the wheel, gear and pulley systems. Students will also discover some simple machines in the Museum exhibits.
