Many magazines and periodicals were published for cycle enthusiasts.
Researchers will also find the periodical collection very useful.
To find out more about this part of the collection visit the Library. Dating from the 1870s, the collection reflects many aspects of cycling from club news and racing reports to reviews of special events such as the annual Stanley Bicycle Show in London.

The collection consists primarily of British publications from the 1880s and 1890s, but there are also significant Canadian publications. There are examples of Cycling and The Canadian Wheelman, both periodicals produced in Toronto in the 1890s. As well, the collection contains limited runs of the American serials, The Cycle Age and Trade Review, Cycling Life and Bearings, all published in Chicago.
