Celebrate International Astronomy Day - May 7 - at the Canada Science and Technology Museum
Enjoy fun, hands-on daytime activities for children and adults alike. In the evening, join Museum educators at the Helen Sawyer Hogg Observatory for a free star party, and get a close-up look at the wonders of the night sky (weather permitting). Take in the puppet show The Lost Alien, and the short film Muin and the Seven Bird Hunters based on a Mi’kmaq legend. Make it a family outing, and come discover the Universe with the Canada Science and Technology Museum.

HIGHLIGHTS:
Starstruck Planetarium Presentations: Explore the wonders of the night sky in the Museum’s inflatable Starlab Planetarium.
Ask the Astronomer Kiosk: Learn more about astronomy from members of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. Examine meteorites, look at astronomical photos, and learn some techniques for taking your own pictures of the night sky.
Solar Observing: Safely observe the beauty of the Sun, and the activity on its surface, through a solar telescope (weather permitting).
