Celebrate International Astronomy Day May 10 at the Canada Science and Technology Museum
Make it a family outing and celebrate astronomy. Daytime activities for all include Solar System crafts for kids, Mars Phoenix mission update, visits to the Helen Sawyer Hogg Observatory, telescope observing of the Sun (weather permitting), presentations in the Museum’s inflatable planetarium, and the Museum’s new young people’s forum “Humans or Robots for Space Exploration?”
In the evening, let Museum staff guide you through the night skies at a free Star Party

Daytime activities: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Free Star Party: 8 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Weather permitting
Where: Canada Science and Technology Museum. 1867 St. Laurent Blvd, Ottawa
Outdoor conditions: dress warmly.
Observing is possible only if the sky is predominantly clear.
The Canada Science and Technology Museum offers astronomy mini-courses, stargazing evenings, and family astronomy and space workshops.
