RSC Annual Symposium: The Universe and Our Place in it

Is there life on other planets, or in other galaxies? Is the Universe welcoming, or is it hostile? And how does Earth fit in to this cosmic scheme?

As the launch event of the National Science and Technology Week (NSTW), The Universe and Our Place in it will celebrate the International Year of Astronomy.

Explore the universe alongside Canadian experts in an open and interactive forum.

Keynote Speakers

Canadian Astronaut Colonel Chris Hadfield (Canadian Space Agency), Surprise guest from the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics & Dr. Robert Thirsk, Canadian Astronaut and National Champion of NSTW will greet us with a special message from the International Space Station on behalf of NSTW co-hosts Natural Resources Canada and the Canadian Space Agency.
