Volunteering

The Corporation is very happy to highlight the contribution of the volunteers during National Volunteer Week. Their devotion to visitors and their expertise related to certain artifacts within our collection are an invaluable richness for the 3 museums of the.
Each year, they are over 350 generously giving their time to the Canada Science & Technology Museum, the Canada Aviation and Space Museum and the Canada Agriculture Museum. The team of volunteers has also just reached the mark of half a million volunteer hours since we've started keeping track in the mid 1980's.
Whether its adding value to the visitors' experience with their expertise and personal experiences in line with exhibitions, or bringing artifacts to life with their technical skills, the museum volunteers play an integral role in the success of the museums!

The children responded with enthusiasm and great interest. Volunteering was a rewarding experience, allowing me the opportunity to . . . appreciate Canada's achievements in science and technology." — J.R.
